German based manufacturer, Lampuga, is the home to the world’s fastest electric surfboard and is named after one of our favorite fish here in South Florida, Mahi Mahi. Founded in 2011 and successfully crowd-funded in 2015, Lampuga offers three unique electric water toy options; Boost, Air, and Rescue. Don’t let the word toy fool you, these “toys” max out upwards of 34 mph.

The Lampuga Boost model is the company's original design. This electric surfboard is built on a rigid platform, similar to more traditional surfboard designs you see at the beach. The lithium powered jet engine boasts and impressive 15hp, can get to speeds of 34 mph and allows for 40 minutes of pure adrenaline before needing another charge. No gnarly waves needed with the Boost. Lampuga also offers a Carbon GT model and the Ferrari of jet surfboards, the ultra-luxury GTR.

The Air and Rescue board models have an interchangeable power jet drive box powered by a lithium battery and also deliver 15hp. These inflatable options are easy to store, transport and inflate in seconds. Lampuga inflatables offer 3 size options. The Buddy, a body-boarding style perfect for kids, the Air, their best-selling size, the Air Plus, larger inflatable surfboard style and the Shuttle with a larger, longer hull. The interchangeable jet power box reaches speeds up to 29 mph, allows for 40 minutes of excitement on the water before a charge is needed.

The Rescue model is designed for lifeguards and rescue operations. The name fits. Using the same jet power box as the Air, the inflatable Rescue has a longer, wider hull, is brightly colored and offers several handrails for easier in-water rescue situations in coastal areas.
