While kayaking on clear blue water, has the following thought ever occurred? “I wish I could see through this kayak to the reefs, springs, or bottom.” This is exactly what prompted Crystal Kayaks to develop their patent-pending crystal clear see through kayak.
The hull is made from the same material as airplane windshields, 100% Virgin GE Lexan Polycarbonate, which makes these kayaks clear, yet extremely durable in a sleek design. The kayak itself consists of very few parts, giving it longevity and adding to its durable nature. Stainless steel rub rails are treated with a top coat, making it impervious to saltwater. Brass spring clips are used to fasten the fully adjustable, ergonomic and quick drying seats. Crystal Clear kayaks come equipped with 2 paddles and 2 seats, everything one would need to start using the kayak and, clearly, enjoying the water. For those who want to paddle alone, simply remove one seat using the stainless steel quick release knobs to transform this into a one-person watercraft.
Weighing in at only 47 lbs. and measuring in at 11 feet, these kayaks can go anywhere. Crystal Kayaks are essentially maintenance free. After spending time exploring the ocean, lakes, rivers, or waterways, a quick fresh water rinse will ensure that no lingering salt or minerals will adhere to the hull. Minimizing contact with rocks, grass or sand will also help maintain the hulls crystal clear appearance.
Kayak rental businesses have seen a growth in sales after adding Crystal Kayaks to their fleet. The kayak itself is essentially a giant mask. Tourists can discover reefs, fish and see the world below while remaining dry. “Vacationers have chosen Crystal Kayaks as their preferred rental on exotic getaways, increasing the profits of the rental shop exponentially” says Crystal Kayak Founder, Brian Maxfield.
