Lehr Outboard Engines – The Future is Green

The concept for Lehr Outboards was born while converting gasoline engines to run on propane in the North Sea, on the research vessel Sea Surveyor. CEO and Founder, Captain Bernardo Herzer says, “Propane is just safer, more efficient and more reliable, that’s why we used it on our ships.” Propane has been recognized as a “green” gas and is approved as an alternate fuel by both the Clean Air Act and National Energy Policy Act.
